Course Title Training Programme on Social Security and Leadership for Rural Women Workers
Course Aim To explore in depth the gendered dimensions of social security in India, especially for rural and informal women workers, and to foster a transformative understanding of women’s work. Through a participatory and reflective process, the programme aims to empower participants to question dominant narratives around women’s empowerment, explore inclusive models of work, and co-develop strategies for advancing gender-equitable labour practices.
Course Profile Gender and Labour Market Structures, Gendered aspects of Social Protection and Rural Realities: Schemes, Provisions and Challenges, Legislative Landscape: Understanding the Social Security Code (2020), Gender Sensitisation and Intersectionality at Work, Behavioural Tools for Empowerment: Communication and Leadership, Institutional Mechanisms and Policy Dialogues for Transformative Change.
Methodology Lectures and interactive expert talks, Case studies and storyboards, Reflections through group activity and discussions
Participation Level Government Officials, Representatives from Central and State Trade Unions, Grassroots Women Leaders, Civil Society Professionals, and Researchers Working on Gender and Labour.
