This training programme aims at enhancing the understanding and capabilities of Officers from the Inspectorate of Factories under State Labour Departments, to ensure Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in workplaces.

The programme focuses on strengthening stakeholders’ capacity in transformative leadership to further gender equality and women's empowerment.

The initiative of labour reforms is trying to simplify and rationalise the plethora of prevailing and overlapping labour laws by making four labour codes. This will facilitate the ease of doing business and employment generation. Recent years with all other labour codes, the wage code and the wage rules have introduced several aspects of reform related to the minimum wage, payment of wages and equal remuneration system of the country. Hence, it is important to understand the changes in the wage code and its implications on workers and businesses.

The main aim of the course is to provide a platform to enhance the capacities of the participants to know about rules, regulations, welfare schemes and policies related to startups to facilitate for ease of doing business. This course also will provide a platform to discuss the central and states initiatives for the startup.

The programme aims to acquaint the young participants with the knowledge, importance and prospects of skill development in enhancing employability and entrepreneurship of youth. The programme will enrich their understanding of skill and its importance, enhance their capabilities and enable them to play larger role for the skill development of youth of the nation.

Migration is one of the defining features of the contemporary world of work and is integral to the process of social and economic development. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides for a strong link between decent work and migration in Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG) of promoting ‘sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all’. The huge potential contribution of labour migration to an inclusive development process can be fully harnessed only if there is a nuanced understanding of the emerging forms and nature of labour flows, on the one hand, and their impacts and implications at the micro and macro levels in the sending and receiving regions, on the other. This programme aims at aims at developing the capacities of researchers and policymakers towards explicating the emerging issues in migration, especially in terms of research and policy concerns.
