The aim of the programme is to enhance leadership skills of trade union activists from
North-Eastern States

This programme aims to address the challenges confronting the labour administration in
the context of transformations in the world of work. It would specifically focus on
innovations being evolved and adopted to ensure that labour administration addresses
the requirements of all categories of workers, particularly those in the informal economy

The programme aims at equipping the participants Growing urbanization,
migration of poor families from rural to urban areas is resulting in increasing labour force
participation of unskilled women workers

The course will familiarise scholars and practitioner on techniques and methods in
historical research on labour and labour relations. The course will enable the
participants to understand contemporary transformations in the world of work in a
historical perspective and familiarise them with the different approaches to history of
labour. It will also equip them to undertake systematic research on labour history.
